A post to remind people of the local networks available during the Christmas period.
Firstly, if you have an emergency situation - please dial 999.
For non-emergency help, if you are a Staplehurst resident, you can contact the Staplehurst Emergency Help Team for support from a network of volunteers to help residents who need to shield or self-isolate with prescriptions and essential shopping, via email@example.com. If you have any difficulty contacting them or are not on email - please contact me via 01580 892141 and I can put them in touch with you.
In addition, we have support over the festive period from volunteers for people who would like a hot meal; whilst our community hub, which is supplied with donations of food and other essentials, is open at the Village Centre every Wednesday.
On the Maidstone Borough Council website, there is a page full of links about how to access financial support if you are impacted by the latest guidance, please visit: https://maidstone.gov.uk/home/other-services/covid-19/tier-2-primary-ar…
There are lots of support networks in the area to help, and whilst asking for help can often be the hardest thing to do, there are so many people in and around our community that are willing and able to provide that help. So once again, if you are not sure of where to access support, please contact me via: LouiseBrice@Maidstone.gov.uk
Stay safe and remember hands, face, space.
